Low-budget looking is all regarding creativity! Basic neutrals - like jeans, kakhis, and woven tops - are invariably findable for a discount, but the true mark of a searching crafts(wo)man is that if she can place along a modern outfit for less than $50. (Lucky for you, I do it everyday.)
1. Re-define cheap. Not fall-apart-in-three-wears cheap, but $five-for-all-of-this?! cheap. You'll get a sweater for $10. You'll get shoes for $5. And you will.
2. Have a budget and continue it. If you'll solely pay, say, $fifty a month then you'll need to get as much bang for your buck as doable, and you will be forced to buy as inexpensively.
